Set in the circular atrium of the King County Courthouse, this series of medallions celebrates the different ethnic histories of the Seattle region. The Salmon Basket piece recalls the local Salesh tribe, who were great salmon fishermen. Nestled among realistically rendered salmon is a Salesh design commissioned from a local Native American artist.
